Sausalito Marin City Voters Approve $41.6 Million for Facility Improvements

Updated: Nov 11, 2020

Emeryville, CA – All of us here at Caldwell Flores Winters, Inc. (CFW) would like to congratulate the Sausalito Marin City School District on their impressive victory on Election Day, taking 72.75% of the vote, with 100% of precincts reporting.

Dr. Itoco Garcia, Superintendent of the Marin County district said, “We are thankful that voters chose to support our students with bond dollars for much-needed capital repairs, safe and healthy schools, outdoor learning spaces, and technology upgrades that will allow us to offer school facilities comparable to what other children in Marin enjoy.”

CFW serves as the District's Financial Advisor. We would like to thank and appreciate our partners including the volunteers, parents, and community members that pitched in to help pass Measure P to improve the educational opportunities of the children in Sausalito and Marin City as the District continues its unification process to bring equity among its two school sites.

While it may seem like a long way off, the March 2022 Gubernatorial deadline to call an Election is in December 2021, which is only 13 months away. If your district is thinking about a facilities bond measure, CFW is here to help. We provide an integrated approach to Facilities Planning, State Aid Procurement Services, School Construction Implementation and General Obligation Bond Financial Advisory Services, and we have served K-14 districts across California for over 34 years.
